Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" We understand we are becoming new people in Christ Jesus. Becoming new in Jesus is a life time journey. So our vision statement at Salem is, "Experiencing New Life on a Journey with Jesus."

We have received the wonderful gift of God’s living word, Jesus, his written word, the Bible, and the Holy Spirit who is with us and in us as we look forward to the return of Christ.

 

Because of this relationship and hope, our community desires to follow Jesus on a life long journey with each other.  We are receiving God’s amazing love which we share with each other as we learn to encourage, support, and care for each other while holding each other accountable.

 

As we continue on this journey with Jesus he reveals to us our own imperfections and faults. We have discovered unexplained depression and grief, experienced unhealthy emotions or simply have bad habits or addictions that control us.  We recognize the power to change comes only comes from Jesus and have experienced his healing power spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

 

God has continued to reveal himself and his love to us at Salem.  In response, we find a desire to worship him and give him praise. We eagerly gather with each other on Sunday mornings to worship Him and enter into his presence as His love and blessings shower us from the heavenly realms.

 

We desire to share this love with those around us. We show this by being involved with a number of community projects which include the Code Blue Homeless Shelter, the Union Cemetery project and the newly formed Quakertown Community Center. We partner with a number of other congregations in the Quakertown area understanding that we are just one of the many meeting places of the church of Quakertown.  We desire to work across denominational lines to see the Kingdom of God grow.

 

We hope that if you are seeking God and a community of believers to belong to, you will visit with us and become a part of the body of Christ that meets here at Salem.
